CoI Cases settled and other pending settlement .. CoI investigative offices activities from Jan/1 / 2011 to Nov/30/ 2011

CoI investigative offices in Baghdad and provinces managed to refer the cases, that it investigated and related to integrity cases according to its type mentioned in CoI acting law and other related penal laws from  Jan/1 / 2011 to Nov/30/ 2011  .

Those cases had to directions: some cases received sentences and other pending subject court. Sentences issued by subject courts regarding cases filed by CoI according to location of those cases amounted (1183) cases.

The number of the convicted was (1272) , Al-Karkh  Investigation Office  had the first position in the cases that got sentences, whereas the sentences reached to (215) judicial decisions from the subject court .The number of the convicted was (254) .Whereas Thiqar Investigation Office got the second position with (148) cases included (157) convicted. Al-Risafa Investigation Office got the third position with (125)cases in which the number of the convicted was (138). Babel Investigation Office got the fourth position with (116) cases and (116) convicted.

CoI offices in other governorates have gained different numbers of cases which received sentences from the subject courts, the number of the condemned persons were as follows:

-Basrah Investigation office, sentences (29), condemned persons (32).

- Missan investigation office, sentences (89), condemned persons (94).

- Wasit investigation office, sentences (38), condemned persons (38).

- Al-Muthanna investigation office, sentences (28), condemned persons (33).

-Karbala investigation office, number of sentences (47), number of convicted persons (52).

-Al-Najaf investigation office, number of sentences (15), number of convicted persons (15).

-Al-Qadisyah investigation office, number of sentences (50), number of convicted persons (51).

-Kirkuk investigation office, number of sentences (50), number of convicted persons (52).

-Sallahdin investigation office, number of sentences (52), number of convicted persons (52).

(65) sentences in Diyala Investigation Office, the convicts were (65).

(2) sentences in Al-Anbar Investigation Office, the convicts were (2).

(114) sentences in Ninawa Investigation Office, the convicts were (121).

The amount of money sentenced to return was (3,794,401,300) Iraqi dinars.

On the other hand, COI submitted (4117) cases to the subject courts. The number of referred persons were (5301) accused. Al-Resafa investigation office investigated (618) cases included (805) accused. Babel investigation office came in second place with (428) cases included (616) accused, while Diyala investigation office came in third place with (385) cases included (401) accused.

The judicial authority still review these cases to give the suitable decisions according to law.
