After more than two years of pursuing, CoI could arrest a gang specialized in transferring, by forging, properties belongs to the state and ex-regime members to high rank officers.
The accused admitted they took over more than one hundred real estates by forgery. Large numbers of origin files belongs real estates were seized by CoI in one of the houses of the accused.
This forgery net and in a cooperation with some officials was forging documents related to real estates and transferring their title to others. Special operation team in CoI could capture the gang with red-handed by pretending to buy one of the estates belong to a two girls who have been adopted by wife of ex- regime president.
CoI paid (30.000) thirty thousands dollars to the head of gang and one of the officers working in the real estate office so as to pass the forged petition. They admitted that they seized many important estates including cabinet hospitality house and Ibn Sena hospital.
It is worth mentioning that CoI has implemented during 2011 many operations and activities including (171) accused persons captured red handed in (67) operations with amount (349.747.000) ID, while the number of wanted persons by CoI is (4793) accused, including (126) employees with rank of Director General and higher, (14) of them with rank of minister (9 of them were summoned and 5 were arrested), (2601) arrest warrants and summon orders were implemented and (867) accused has been detained, including (7) with rank of minister and higher (3) of them are currently in position and (4) former.
CoI has referred (2931) accused persons to subject courts for (2315) corruption cases including (16) candidates for CoR election, (69) candidates for councils of governorates election and (82) with rank of minister and higher (8) of them with rank of minister.
However CoI actually recovered (2.009.806.280) ID in total including (261.587.302) ID were recovered and (1.748.218.978) ID were ordered to be recovered. CoI investigators have seized about (57.312.936.450) ID in cases under investigation by CoI.
