New subpoena against current P.M assumed post of Nineveh Provincial Council’s head

COI revealed that a new subpoena issued against one of a Parliament Member for charges committed during his term in the post of Nineveh Provincial Council’s head in addition to the former governor of Nineveh province.

COI’s Investigation Office, during discussing the case details, indicated that the Judicial Committee on Integrity cases in Nineveh issued a subpoena against one of the Parliament Members according to provisions of article 340 of P.C for deducting amounts from members and affiliates at the Local councils in the regions and districts belongs to Nineveh Provincial Council during the term of holding a post as head of Nineveh Provincial Council.

COI explained that the financial deduction occurred from 1/6/2014 up to 31/12/2014 to pay the due payments in the trust of members and employees, indicating that he deposited the amounts in the Council’s fund as a trust with disposing it and not delivering them to the concerned bank.

It added that the Judicial Committee on Integrity Cases in the province issued a new subpoenas against the former governor of Nineveh as well as the director of Nineveh Electricity Distribution Directorate-the Center for removing cables from Al-Mousel City in contrary to regulations according to governor’s directions, clarifying that the subpoena was issued according to the provisions of article 341 of Iraqi P.C.

Its worth to be noted that COI announced issuing subpoenas against a P. M and the former governor of Nineveh according to provisions of two articles (331 and 340) of P.C.
