COI revealed the issuance of subpoena against Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities in addition to a former Member of Parliament and number of officials in Thi-Qar province.
COI’s Office of Investigation, talking about case details, mentioned that the court of investigation specialized with corruption cases in Province issued a subpoena against Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities in addition to a former Member of Parliament, former governor of Thi-Qar, director of Gharaf oil field as well as a former director of municipality and other six staff members.
Office explained that subpoena is pursuant to article (6) of rivers exploitation law; for trespassing unlawful on Euphrates River and constructing buildings as resort style on the banks of the river.
