The Commission clarified, decision details to seize movable and immovable property issued against the accused the head of Diwaniyah Provincial Council.
CoI’s Investigation Office, talking about case details, mentioned that the Qadisiyah Criminal Court decided to seize the movable and immovable property of Diwaniyah Provincial Council’s head in accordance with the provisions of Article (339) PC.
The office explained that the decision was issued over decisions of Diwaniyah Provincial Council to impose fees and collect them from the state offices with large amounts and spending it in contrary to the law.
It is worth mentioning that the Commission announced early this month the issuance of two subpoenas against former provincial council member and a current one; the court decided to detain them, in addition to arrest warrant issued against Director General of Diwaniyah Education that was implemented against the accused person and another twelve defendants, the members of the purchases and price evaluation committee; in addition to detain order against former governor of Diwaniyah.
