CoI’s Extradition Office has announced that its working on extraditing. The fugitive convict, Saman Baiz Abbas, the manager of Gold Rock Company, indicating that it is in the process of handing over his extradition file to the Iranian authorities.
In the course of discussing the details of its actions in connection with the extradition of the convict, the Office mentioned that its working on completing the extradition file of the fugitive convict to hand it over to the Iraqi Embassy in Tehran for presenting it to the competent Iranian authorities. Indicating that its moved immediately after receiving information about arresting the convict on the territory of Islamic Republic of Iran, based on a red bulletin issued by Interpol against him as a result of joint efforts between the Commission, the General Prosecutor and the Arab and International Police Directorate in the Ministry of Interior.
The Office confirmed sending the extradition file of the convict to the Presidency of the General Prosecution to send it to the Iranian judicial authorities through diplomatic channels.
Its worth mentioning that the criminal court on Integrity cases has issued at the end of the last year, a sentence of seven years` imprisonment against the convict in accordance with provisions of article 444/11 of Penal Code No. 111 of 1969.
