The Investigations Office within the COI revealed that it managed to return a land in Babil Governorate to the property of the state after it was illegally took over by number of persons by forging the land ownership papers.
The Investigation office gave details of this operation after a team of its investigators from Babil office succeeded to hold and studied the official papers of 54 Dunums piece of land valued more than (1.620.000.000) billion dinars. The team found that the land belongs to the Ministry of Finance and it was allocated to the traffic high ways police office. Some people had forged and registered the land in their names in Babil real Estate Office books and used by them.
The investigations in Babil Real Estate Office led to returning the land to the proprietorship of the Ministry of Finance officially, and the persons accused of forging the land documents were arrested
It is worthy of mentioning that Babil Office of Investigations had discovered many cases of forging land papers and changing the real owners of these lands during last Abril.
