COI Office of Investigation revealed seizure of embezzlement at the Directorate of Education in in Khales, Diyala province, indicating that those cases were represented by adding amounts of money to payrolls monthly.
The Office, in its discussion about seizure operation carried out under a judicial warrant, pointed out that COI Office of Investigation’s staff managed to seize the payroll lists in Khales Directorate of Education in one of the schools in the district. The payrolls lists included offences for the period from 2014 to March 2019, contained disbursement of the addition of amounts of money ranging from five million to ten million dinars to the payroll lists per month.
Investigations carried out by the office have led to seizing (63) payroll lists, as it is estimated that the value of the embezzled amounts of money approximately half a billion dinars, Office revealed.
The Office noted that staff of inquiry is carrying out operations of investigation and auditing lists, in order to determine value of the actual embezzled amounts of money during that period.
Noteworthy to mention that the office there announced during this month for thwarting an attempt to waste of money via seizing manipulation in the wheat kind received by the State Company for Grain Trading in the province.
