CoI revealed details of its procedures, which were taken in connection with the cases of G.F.C, where it was organized an extradition file against fugitive convict Sohaib Al-A’ani.
The Prevention Office, through its follow- up the TV monitoring in one of satellite TV, and through hosting of one of former deputies, raised issue of suspicions of corruption in the above company, clarifying that it was formed survey team to conduct number of visits to the company. The IG in Ministry of Industry and Minerals and his Assistant, followed on what the former deputy said in TV program.
The above office noted that there were many cases in Baghdad Investigation Directorate related to the company, as well as issuance an absentia sentence of 7 years against two fugitive convicts (Sohaib Mohammed Abdullah Mohamed) and (Mohammed Noor Abdulrahman Abdullah) as the real owner and managing director of one of the privet companies dealing with General Fertilizer Company \Northern Region, for committing embezzlement of funds belonging to the General Fertilizer Company.
The Office followed up to indicate issuance imprisonment judgments against Head and Members of former Administration Board of former General Fertilizer Company\ Northern Region, the DG of former North Gas Company, head and members of follow-up committee implementing the company dues, and other employees in Agricultural Supplies Company in cases related to work of General Fertilizer Company.
The office indicated that CoI, ministry of industry and minerals and the southern general fertilizer company revoked sentence issued against the former DG of southern general Fertilizer Company of which included accusation dismissing; by emphasizing that it found there are no attempts has been approved to revoke the sentence issued against the convicted (Suhaib mohammed Abdullah al’anee) according to the statement of former parliament on TV.
The extradition office clarified its procedures to extradite the fugitive (Suhaib mohammed Abdullah Al’anee), and it indicated that it organized an extradition file against him in addition to issuing an international red built-in.
It stressed that it submitted an extradition file of the mentioned-above accused before the General prosecution in order to be submitted before Jordanian judicial authorities through diplomatic channels; since the competent Jordanian court issued its decision of refusing extraditing the accused on 22/4/2019 because he has left the country. The presidency of general prosecution requested the Jordanian authorities to provide details about all contradictions of which proved the accused has been arrested in Jordan, this is from one hand and from other hand it refused extraditing him under pretense that he left the country.
It also stressed that it keep following procedures of arresting the accused mentioned above to extradite him to Iraqi authorities in coordination with relevant bodies by requesting international assistance to seize his movable and immovable properties.
