Commission of integrity disclosed that it has carried out a seizure operation for head and members disclosure committee in Al-Shalamcha entry point- Al-Shalamcha Customs Center for trying to pass the fodder mill contrary to the regulations and instructions.
The investigation office reported details of seizure operation that the team from Al-Basra Investigation Directorate of CoI that transferred to Al-Shalamcha entry point could arrest (4) defendants (Disclosure Committee Head) and (3) members red-handed for revealing the fodders mill distributed among (3) trucks in violation of law, clarifying that the customs duties were put on materials, on the basis that materials are an iron tank without mentioning its accessories, causing a big difference in customs-duty.
The above office added that duly seizer minutes was organized concerning the defendants attached with seized martials, and submitted before the competent investigation judge who decided to arrest the defendants under investigation, pointing out that the seizure operation was done according to arrest warrant.
Referring that the commission curried out number of seizure operations in Al-Basra during the current year, where Disclosure Committee Head in customs of Northern Om Qassir port and Assistant Director of customs were seized in two sorted cases red-handed smuggling (4) containers with motorcycles and oil engines.
