CoI, revealed today that was able to hinder major operation to smuggle the internet capacities in Kirkuk, clarifying that it was seized the director of smuggler company and confiscated of company’s equipment.
The investigation office, cooperation and coordination with Ministry of Communications and information and communication commission, indicated according to arrest warrant that the staffs of investigation office in province was siezed the director of above company due to smuggling the internet capacities estimated their values of millions of dollars, and hindered the smuggling operations of the above company, as well as attachment the devices and equipment that belong to above company, which was used in smuggling operation.
The office added that the operation was done in area of Jimman, which is the main supplier to all towers and networks in province, clarifying that the smuggler company was used unlicensed micro-technology caused waste of millions of dollars in public money, as well as the negative reflection of these operations on security side.
The commission was revealed last Wednesday hindering two smuggling attempts of internet capacities in Nineveh, showing the seizure of towers through with that smuggling operations are done.
