Unauthorized warehouses dealing with smuggled drugs were seized in Hawija

Investigation Office in COI, announced that the staff of the Kirkuk investigation office carried out seizure operation against the owners and employees of warehouses, for dealing with smuggled and untested medical drugs.

The office reported, while it talking about the details of operation, that a team from the Kirkuk investigation Office, after investigating and detecting operations, in coordination with Directorate of Health and the Intelligence in province seized smuggled and untested drugs. The office mentioned that the drugs were seized which officially unlicensed drugstores dealt with in the district of Hawija.

Proper seizure minutes of the exhibits and the documents was organized and presented with the accused persons before the competent investigative judge who decided to arrest them in accordance with provisions of the Article (50) of the Pharmacy Act No. 40 of 1970.

Late last month, COI announced that it arrested a number of owners of drug warehouses and directors of drug companies in Kirkuk for bringing drugs and smuggled and untested medical supplies to the province.
