COI revealed that it managed to return back a land in the center of Babel Governorate to the property of Babel municipality directorate after it was sold in 10% of its real price.
The Investigation office in COI gave details of this operation after information was received about registration of an 1100 m2 land in the center of Babel for an Iraqi woman to build a guardianship on the land. COI investigators in Babel office immediately book kept all documents of selling process of this land, including the land evaluation statement, the governor and the city municipality approvals in addition to the first committee statement and a copy of the land’s documents as the original ones was sent to the ministry of housing and construction.
The investigation process led to reregister the land within Hilla municipality property after it was sold in price of (165,000,000) millions ID by the Governorate Diwan, while the real price of the land is about (1,650,000,000) billions ID. That was in addition to forfeit more than forty millions ID i.e. 25% of price and placed in the state capital.
It is worthy of mentioning that COI has revealed in previous month its investigators in Babel had expropriated a state property of a value (7,000,000,000) billions ID and intercepted attempt of taking hold of a state property valued more than four billions ID.
