Seizing drugstores owners and companies managers brought smuggled medicines to Kirkuk

CoI’s Investigation Office announced that its staff at Kirkuk investigation directorate had seized number of drugstores owners, managers of medicine companies brought smuggled and unexamined drugs, and medical supplies into the province.
In the course of discussing case details, the Office mentioned that a team from Kirkuk investigation directorate moved with specialized staff from  Kirkuk Health Department to one of the checkpoints in the governorate to seize the accused persons and the smuggled drugs, pointing out that the defendants (drugstores owners and managers of medicines companies), smuggled medicines to the governorate through refrigerators trucks.
It added that the team arrested seven persons involved in smuggling with two vehicles loaded with medicines, indicating that the staff made an inventory to all the seized materials in accordance with the provisions of Article (50) of the Pharmacy Profession Law No. 40 of 1970.
The Office explained that a formal seizure minutes was organized and referred with the accused persons to the competent investigating judge, who decided to detain them under investigation.
