CoI’s Investigation Office announced that its staff at Baghdad investigation directorate and Diyala investigation directorate, after following-up and detecting, ex-ecuted two seizure operations against accused of fraud and bribery in Baghdad and Diyala,
In the course of discussing cases details, the Office announced that a team from Baghdad investigation directorate seized one defendant of fraud and swindling citizens in return for false promises of appointment in the state institutions claiming his affiliation to one of the security institutions, pointing out that the Office has communicated with the accused through social networking sites and was caught in one of the capital areas in accordance with the provisions of Resolution no.160 of 1983.
The Office added that a team from Diyala investigation directorate moved to the municipality of Baquba, and arrested two employees of the land department in the municipal, who were accused of bribery in accordance with the provisions of Article 307 of the Penal Code,
The Office pointed out that the two-seizer operation in Baghdad and Diyala were carried-out under judicial arrest orders, while the arrested suspects accompanied the criminal evidence were referred to the investigating judge in order to take the appropriate legal action.
Commission of Integrity announced this month the seizure of a person impersonate the Inspector General in Baghdad in return for promises to grant loans from a government bank as well as the seizure of a woman swindling citizens with false promises of appointment.
