Commission of Integrity discusses with Korean side ways of developing co-operation in in fighting corruption

Commission of Integrity discussed ways of developing co-operation in the field of fighting corruption with the Republic of South Korea.

Iraqi Anti-Corruption Academy DG (Basem Al-Eqabi), received the Korean commissioned minister (Joe Te. Hoe) the Korean Deputy Head of mission in Iraq and discussed means of enhancing links between the two sides, means of exchange experiences and benefit from scientific experiments in the field of fighting corruption.

Both sides stressed the significant of creating direct points between them in order to facilitate the exchange of information and rapid massages, noting previous cooperation between the two sides which contributed to the exchange of skills and development capacities of oversight bodies in the two countries.

The meeting referred to the measures intended to be taken; in preparation for the anticipated visit by the senior consultant to the President of Republic of Korea, Mr. (Beu Nekdu Han) as special envoy to Baghdad, as well as to an anticipated visit by the Korean Ambassador to the headquarters of the Academy.

Mr. (Joe Te. Hoe) briefed on the most prominent and sections and units of Iraqi Anti- Corruption Academy via his field visit in the academy lobbies and theaters which were deducted to training, lectures, meetings, conferences and workshops held by the Commission in addition to library of the Academy.

It should be noted that in April, last year COI has signed a memorandum of Understanding on bilateral cooperation to combat corruption with Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission of South Korea.
