COI’s investigation Office revealed that its staff, after following and investigating, arrested two officials red handed with bribery in Diwaniyah.
The office, while it talking about the details of the seizure operation, which it was carried out under writ, confirmed that the director of Rafidain Bank- right side branch was arrested red handed with bribery, at the same time, the office arrested the director of the accounts of the Educational Hospital -Diwaniya, who was present at the crime scene.
The office mentioned that the staff of investigation office in the governorate seized the first suspect (director of the bank branch) red handed with amount of bribery in his pocket, while the office investigations led to arrest the second suspect (hospital accounts director) involved in the crime, the two suspect agreed to take the amount of the bribery from a contractor in return for payment of dues due to him.
The two suspects, who were arrested with the criminal exhibits, were presented before the competent investigation judge, who decided to arrest them pending investigation and renew their term of detention.
