Commission of Integrity reveals details of seizing wheat unfit for human compensation in Kirkuk’s silos

COI revealed seizure details of large quantities of wheat in Kirkuk’s silo, indicating that such material is not fit for human compensation, since it’s moldy, mixed with stones, an emissions for filthy smells and was about to be distributed within ration card items.

COI Office of Investigations confirmed seizure implementation under a judicial writ led to seize six officials in charge of following up, wheat storage and laboratory testing in the silo, pursuant to the article 341 pc.

COI staff visited the site and were able to seize (the damaged wheat) which was prepaid to grinding in order to supply a governorate within ration cards items, Office said.

The team which was accompanied by experts of Health Office and Directorate of Agriculture of the governorate, was able to seize all criminal exhibits and all that affects with offence as well as the involved persons to be submitted before the competent investigative judge, the Office indicated.
