150 lagging projects in the province, criminal cases opened in 45 projects

Commission of Integrity had announced the lagging projects in Maysan governorate which were monitored by one of its teams that visited the governorate; indicating that the number of lagging projects reached to (150), of which criminal cases opened in 45 projects
Criminal cases
The Commission referred in its report to the lagging projects in which 45 criminal cases have been opened. The most prominent of these projects were the rehabilitation of the white sugar production services at the Maysan sugar factory, the rehabilitation of factories and farms, the modification of the two factories for yeast and alcohol, the housing complex in Qal`at Salih, Al-Krama and Albtera bridges, pointing out that number of lagging companies were given amounts more than its dues with failure to take legal action against them.
The report added that the projects included the development, rehabilitation and maintenance of the entrances of a number of cities and streets, covering streets in various areas within the province, the establishment of intersections, gardens and sidewalks, as well as the construction of a number of schools and kindergartens and furnishing, and rehabilitation of the Institute of deaf and mute and a number of government buildings.
105 projects
The report dealt with the projects of which criminal cases were not opened yet. The 105 projects were distributed between the demolition, reconstruction and establishment of 86 schools and kindergartens, 50 exam halls and a building for the Directorate of Education in the governorate, in addition to the establishment of six housing complex es by local and Arab companies and a hospital with the capacity of 400 beds in the center of the province has already been referred to a Turkish company.
The report pointed out that these projects included the establishment of stations for the transfer of electric power, the supply lines, the supply of distribution stations, the rehabilitation of the electrical network in a number of neighborhoods and villages and the lighting of a number of streets, in addition to sewer projects, rain lanes, supplying of generators and submersible pumps and the implementing of Umara water project as well as the establishment of two stadiums with a capacity of 2000 and 1000 spectators, an Olympic swimming pool and forums for young people.
It is worth mentioning that the Commission of Integrity had announced the overall lagging projects in a number of governorates that have been monitored by its investigative teams, which are responsible for categorizing criminal cases in terms of their importance, completing the investigation and detection of reconstruction, services and investment lagging projects.
