CoI’s Office of Investigation revealed that the staff of CoI’s Karbala Investigation Office was able to seize manipulation and falsification of the transfer of ownership of a property of 18 dunums and 1417 meters that belongs to the State Real Estates Office in the governorate.
The Office pointed out that the team of the investigation office in Karbala conducted extensive investigations and detections included the Property Claims Commission, the Agriculture Directorate, the State Real Estates Office and the Real Estate Registration Office in Karbala, and was able to detect the forged ownership of the property in the name of a group of culprits who claimed to have bought the property through a fake auction with a false letter allegedly issued by falsified by the State Real Estates Office in the province.
It noted that the estimated value of the property is (IQDs 6.905.500.000) and that the seizure operation was conducted according to a judicial warrant.
CoI’s Karbala investigation office added that it has given the property to the State Real Estates Office in the province, in accordance with the decision of the Karbala Court of investigating integrity cases, indicating that the judicial decision ensures that the office will file a cancellation action against the beneficiaries and the lawsuit of compensation for the period in which the property was occupied.
Noteworthy to mention that the real estates’ estimated value CoI has managed to recover is more than (230 billion) dinars in Karbala governorate during the current year.
