CoI announced on Thursday that it had been able, with the help of law enforcement agencies, to arrest the accused (Majid Madhoor Abdullah), former accounting director of Anbar Health Directorate.
CoI explained that the investigations and follow-up operations conducted during the past period resulted in the arrest of the accused while trying to escape outside Iraq through Erbil International Airport.
It confirmed that the accused is wanted for the Iraqi Justice in accordance with the provisions of Article 315 of the Penal Code, as it has already carried out seizure operations resulted in the detection of embezzlement and violation of public money in Anbar Health Directorate, of which the former accounting director a number of accounting employees are accused.
CoI announced in late September that an arrest warrant had been issued against the former accounting director of Anbar Health Directorate (Majid Madhoor Abdullah) after he managed to escape from a prison in the province, where he was placed after the ex ecution of an arrest warrant issued against him by the judicial authorities, Law enforcement agencies and with the participation of the staff of the governorate’s investigation office.
