In coordination with the Office of the Inspector-General of the Ministry of Municipalities in Salah al-Din Governorate, CoI’s Investigations Office revealed that it was able to seize forgery and manipulations in the petitions relating to the plots of lands allocated to the martyrs and the victims of terrorist operations.
The Office said, in a statement on the details of the operation carried out by the staff of the Judicial Control Unit and the Performance Assessment and Anti-Bribery Committee of CoI’s office of investigation in the governorate which visited the Municipality Directorate in Al-Dour, that they were able to seize the director of the municipality and committee members in charge of auditing the petitions for substituting (83) residential plots for martyrs and wounded of terrorists operations, and prisoners, contrary to the instructions and controls through tampering with their records, indicating that the operation which was carried out under a judicial memorandum also resulted in the seizure of all the forged documents and records.
CoI announced on August 14 that its staff in the Saladin investigation office had managed to arrest the director of the real estate registration department in the district of Al-Dour for falsifying the records and petitions of 17 residential plots.
