COI Investigations Office revealed the implementation of three seizure operations resulted in its ability of seizing files on granting agricultural loans within the project of lending banking facilities contrary to controls and banking regulations in the Agricultural Cooperative Bank of Maysan province.
In a statement on the details of the operations carried out under judicial warrant, the Office explained that the teams of Maysan Investigation Office, which moved to the Agricultural bank- Al-Amarah branch, managed to seize 3 loan applications.
The Office outlined that the value of the seized loans amounted to (225.000.000) dinars, indicating that the disbursement was carried out by a number of farmers’ names without their knowledge (fake names).
It pointed out that a proper minute of seizure of all seized items was organized, and the investigative documents were submitted to the judge of the Court on Investigating Integrity Cases in Maysan, and that the investigation is under way in accordance with the provisions of Article (361) of Penal Code.
It is worth mentioning that Commission of Integrity was able to maintain about 220 billion dinars of public funds in the branches of the Agricultural Cooperative Bank through the implementation of many of seizure operations in the act.
