COI revealed that it seized files of agricultural loans were granted against controls and bank instructions within the agricultural initiative projects and loans banking facilities in the Agricultural Bank in Missan, indicating that the seizure operation was made under a judicial arrest warrant.
The investigation office in COI reported, while it talking about the seizure operation, that the team of Missan Investigation Office moved to the Agricultural Bank - Al Amarah branch in the governorate and managed to seize 4 loan applications.
The office pointed out that the value of the seized loans (820,000,000) eight hundred and twenty million dinars, indicating, that the payment operation took place under names of a number of farmers without their knowledge (fake names).
The office added that a minute of seized exhibit was organized as well as the investigative documents were presented before the judge of Missan investigation court. The office mentioned that the investigation is ongoing according to the provisions of Articles (316) and (340) PC.
COI has announced that the court sentenced the former director of the Agricultural Cooperative Bank in Maysan, in prescience, sever prison for embezzling eight billion dinars his direction the bank.
It is worth mentioning that COI was able to maintain about 220 billion dinars of public funds in the branches of the Agricultural Cooperative Bank through caught –in-act operation.
